Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johansson, and Eva Mendez – what do they all have in common? Their beautiful, full lips.
Women everywhere spend time in front of the mirror trying to plump their lips in any way they can, just so they can get them close to looking the way these stars’ lips look. If you’re no different, here are four of the simplest ways to get your lips looking bigger and better; just like the celebs.
Dead skin can dull the appearance of your lips. If you take away the dead skin cells, you’ll be left with smooth, pink lips, which brightens them again and causes them to look bigger.
To exfoliate your lips, use your toothbrush and some sugar moistened with pure aloe vera gel. Lightly scrub the lips until they are soft. Rinse and then rub them together. Repeat if any dry skin remains.
After brushing, apply moisturizing lip balm to your lips. This will extend the effect and protect your lips from drying.
Other ways to exfoliate your lips include:
- Delicately rub your lips with a damp washcloth
- Coat lips with lip balm and then rub baking soda into the lips
Makeup tricks can make your lips appear fuller. The more striking of a color you can wear on your lips, the bigger they will look. Intensify this effect with lip liner. Make sure the lip liner and the lip color closely match so that when you blend the two together, you have a natural look.
If you want to make your lips appear bigger, use your lip liner to draw a line slightly outside of your lips, and fill it in with the lip color. Again, blend the two together when you’re done. A shimmery lip gloss placed in the center of the lips will create the illusion of larger lips as well.
Avoid brown tones for plumper looking lips. You’ll be better off with pink or red.
#3: Lip Plumpers
Check with your beauty supply store for lip plumping products. They contain ingredient such as ginger, cinnamon, and wintergreen, which will irritate your lips to make them slightly swell and turn pink. You may experience some tingling or burning, but this sensation shouldn’t last long. The effects of lip plumping products last between two to six hours.
#4: Dermal Fillers and Fat Transfer Lip Augmentation
If you’re looking for a semi-permanent or permanent solution to small, deflated lips, you may want to consider either dermal fillers or lip injections with fat.
A lip augmentation is a non-surgical procedure in which either a synthetic dermal filler or liquefied fat is injected into the lips to augment their size and appearance. The fat transfer procedure removes fat from another part of your body via liposuction in order to place it into the lips.
The procedure is fast, simple, and extremely effective. You could end up with the lips you’ve always wanted with a simple procedure using your own fat.
